Jindal calls for action on coastal restoration

From WWL – Jindal keeps up his push for coastal restoration assistance:

In light of the devastation left behind from Gustav and Ike, Governor Bobby Jindal is calling on Congress to take action now in helping restore Louisiana’s coastal wetlands.

“In the last 80 years we’ve lost 2,000 square miles of coastal Louisiana,” said Defrechou. “In hurricanes Katrina and Rita alone we lost over 200 square miles in one month.”
