Dulac will get flood levee by June
From the Daily Comet:
About $30 million worth of flood-protection levees in Dulac will be completed by next hurricane season as a result of an agreement signed Monday.
The six-mile stretch will be 9 1/2 feet tall when finished, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials said. Construction on the storm-surge barrier — a combination of the Suzie Canal and Orange Street levees — will start in February.
